Streetscape Benches
The goal of this project was to partner with the Urban Renewal Agency to place benches throughout main street, to ensure that locals and tourists can rest as they venture down Ellensburg Avenue. This project increased accessibility and walkability for all members of our community, as well as improving the design of the streetscape with a cohesive plant design and artistic benches.
The first round of benches installed included locations at:
-
The Port of Gold Beach
-
Gold Beach City Hall
-
Curry County Event Center on the Beach
-
Coastal Cups Coffee House
-
Interiors
-
Rogue Outdoor Store
-
Pit Stop Java/76 Gas Station
In addition, memorial fish plaques have been added to most of the streetscape benches to serve as a way to let our local community members honor beloved members of their families.
The second round of benches was funded in part by the Oregon Community Foundation, Memorial Fish sales, and donations from the community.
The second round of benches installed included locations at:
-
Curry County Courthouse
