HISTORY

Gold Beach Main Street evolved from the Gold Beach Beautification Committee formed for Make a Difference Day 2015.

 

Our structure is based on the national Main Street Approach.

The Gold Beach Main Street Program is a member of Oregon Main Street, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

In 2021, Gold Beach Main Street was recognized by

Oregon Main Street as a recipient of the prestigious Excellence on Main awards. Created in 2010, the annual Excellence on Main awards honor outstanding accomplishments, activities, and people making a difference in historic downtowns and traditional commercial neighborhoods across the state. Gold Beach Main Street was awarded the Outstanding Partnership award for the 2020 Gold Beach Main Street Small Town Christmas events. 

In addition, volunteer Tim O'Dwyer was acknowledged with a Volunteers on Main award for his above and beyond contributions to the community.
