• Go on a self-led art walk to Gold Beach's outdoor murals

• Go to the beach on a sunny day and see if you can find an agate or sand dollar

• Go for a hike to one of the beautiful local trails

• Go whale watching

• Learn about local bird-life when you go bird-watching

• Cook a new recipe at home using Oregon-based ingredients

• Learn about the local tribes (usually called Tututni) that were here before the pioneers
