The Design Committee’s purpose is to improve the overall appearance and physical value of the commercial district through historic preservation-based sustainable strategies, including building improvements, placemaking efforts, design education, and protection and management.

Design Committee

Role of the Design Committee

The Design Committee works to enhance the appearance, functionality, and sense of place within Gold Beach's downtown and commercial districts. By building on the community's unique character and natural assets, the committee helps create inviting public spaces, support business success, and strengthen community pride. Its work extends beyond building aesthetics to include placemaking projects, public art, streetscape improvements, parking and accessibility considerations, façade and rehabilitation programs, and serving as a design resource for property and business owners. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, the Design Committee helps shape a vibrant, welcoming, and economically resilient downtown.
