GBMS Committee Training

The Gold Beach Main Street program follows the Main Street Approach, organizing our work through four committees: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality. Each committee plays a vital role in supporting a vibrant, thriving downtown.

All board members serve on at least one committee, where they contribute to planning, decision-making, and helping move initiatives forward. Board members are also expected to help engage and recruit community volunteers to support committee efforts.

Each committee meets for approximately one hour per month, with additional time dedicated to advancing projects, events, and priorities as needed. This structure allows us to share the work, build momentum, and create meaningful impact together.

If you are a volunteer or community member exploring how to get involved, you are welcome to review these materials to learn more about the work of each committee and where your interests may align.

The Main Street Approach

“The Main Street Approach™ offers community-based revitalization initiatives with a practical, adaptable framework for downtown transformation that is easily tailored to local conditions. The Main Street Approach helps communities get started with revitalization and grows with them over time.”
