Welcome to our very first Gold Beach Main Street newsletter!

We're so glad you're here. This monthly update is your place to catch what’s happening downtown — from current projects and upcoming events to behind-the-scenes moments at the GBMS office.

We’re working hard to make Ellensburg Avenue and our greater downtown area a vibrant, welcoming place for all — and this newsletter is one more way we’re inviting you into the process. We’ll be sharing progress updates, ways to get involved, and a few fun surprises along the way (including office shenanigans, of course).

News on Main Street

GBMS was one of 36 recipients in the state to receive Oregon Main Street’s Revitalization Grant. Twelve local businesses applied, and the Barnacle Bistro Restaurant was awarded over $345,000 to assist in the purchase, as well as funding much-needed renovations and repairs.

What’s Ahead

Legends aren’t just born – they’re celebrated. On Sept 26-27, 2025, Gold Beach Main Street will once again transform the Curry County Fairgrounds into a coastal stage where families come together for music, community, and storytelling.

We wanted to shout out a THANK YOU to The Ford Family Foundation for awarding GBMS a $45,000 grant. This is the second year of the two-year grant providing funding for sustainable operations. The Ford Family Foundation from Roseburg, OR, generously supports rural Oregon and Siskiyou County with grants and scholarships.
