We’re thrilled to share a few exciting updates since our last newsletter!

Barnacle Bistro – After being awarded more than $345,000 through the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant, progress is well underway. The renovations are moving forward to bring new life to this much-loved downtown landmark. We can’t wait to see the refreshed space reopen as a welcoming anchor for Gold Beach’s dining scene.

Legends Fest – A huge success! The festival brought together community members, visitors, and local businesses for a vibrant weekend of music, art, and connection. Thank you to all who volunteered, sponsored, and showed up to make the event memorable. Your energy keeps Main Street moving forward!

What’s Ahead

The next phase of revitalization is underway! Gold Beach Main Street is launching the Reimagine Ellensburg Campaign: Community Involvement with the U.S 101 Community Connections Plan — a community-driven effort to reimagine Ellensburg Avenue and our downtown corridor.

We’ll be exploring:

• Undergrounding Utilities

• Traffic Study & Lane Configuration

• Landscaping & Beautification Options

• Business Reinvestment Strategies

• Community Discussion & Input Sessions

• Community Survey

Improving Ellensburg

Gold Beach is shining a little brighter thanks to local businesses investing in themselves and their spaces! Even when GBMS isn’t directly involved, these efforts make a big difference — improving storefronts, boosting curb appeal, and creating a more welcoming Main Street for everyone.

This month we’re celebrating:

• Wild Rivers Animal Rescue – a fresh coat of exterior paint that aligns with their branding and enhances street appeal.

• Fresh Hair by Kris Nyeland – new branding and signage bringing a polished, modern look.

• Matheson Art Gallery – bold red exterior and signage that make this downtown gem pop.

Thanks to these businesses for keeping Gold Beach looking good! We can’t feature everyone each month, but if you’ve noticed a standout upgrade or want to share your own project, we’d love to hear from you — just email us your ideas or photos!

We have some very exciting news to share — Molly Younger has joined the Gold Beach Main Street team as our new Communications Manager!

Molly is a long-standing designer and creative strategist who brings her experience from Molly Kelene Designs, her thriving local design studio, into this role. Through GBMS, she’ll help strengthen community connections, share important updates, and keep our communication channels vibrant and engaging.

We’re thrilled to have Molly on board and look forward to all the creative energy and collaboration ahead. Please join us in welcoming her to the GBMS team!
