Gold Beach Main Street was honored to host the recent City Administrator Candidate Meet & Greet in our office, welcoming community members, city leadership, and Mayor Tamie Kaufman for an evening of conversation and connection. Residents had the opportunity to meet the candidates, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue while enjoying refreshments.

As Gold Beach Main Street continues to embrace the Main Street Approach, we recognize the importance of serving as a gathering place for community engagement. Whether supporting civic discussions, local businesses, nonprofit partners, or community initiatives, we are committed to creating opportunities for residents to connect, participate, and help shape Gold Beach's future.

Legends Fest — Road to 2027

We're also excited about the road ahead for Legends Fest 2027. Planning is already underway, with a series of mini-concerts and community activations mapped out through 2026 as we build momentum toward our next major festival. We would love to hear from the community about musicians, vendors, venues, and experiences you'd like to see included. We have a growing list of ideas and don't want to leave any legend unturned. Improving Ellensburg

We are thrilled with the turnout for our recent Pocket Park Spring Cleanup Day.

Volunteers, gardeners, landscape enthusiasts, and community members came together with incredible energy and enthusiasm to help beautify our downtown corridor. Together, we refreshed all sixteen pocket parks throughout the district, creating welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.

A special thank you goes to ODOT for assisting with cleanup efforts at the Wedderburn Triangle. Partnerships like these demonstrate the power of community stewardship and collaboration in maintaining beautiful public spaces.

As seasonal flowers, ornamental grasses, and new growth continue to emerge, we're excited to see these spaces flourish throughout the summer months.

This month, we extend our sincere appreciation to the organizations, funders, trainers, and community partners who continue to invest in the success of nonprofits throughout Oregon. We were especially grateful to participate in a recent workshop hosted by the Nonprofit Association of Oregon at Curry Public Library, made possible by The Ford Family Foundation.

The opportunity to learn alongside experienced nonprofit leaders, share challenges and successes, and gain insight into sustainable organizational practices was both energizing and inspiring. These educational opportunities strengthen our ability to serve Gold Beach while ensuring we remain thoughtful stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

We are continually reminded that many of the programs, services, events, and community improvements we value are made possible through grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic support. To the organizations and individuals who invest in rural communities like ours—thank you.
